If Americans were offered a genuine alternative to the neoliberal system of economics for that for the last 40 years has put corporate profits before their health and well-being, I think that they would take it.

I think you have to wait until the boomers leave the stage. The generations that entered the work force after 1998 were the most screwed. Everyone born after 1978 is not afraid of the word “socialism”. Undoing concentrated power is going to take some doing.though.

The alternative has been smeared as radical socialism by the mainstream media but the values & principles we need are exactly what Theodore Roosevelt stood for in his New Nationalism speech 100 years ago "The object of gov't is the welfare of the people"
America needs to bring back Theodore Roosevelt's New Nationalism; "We are face to face with new conceptions of the relations of property to human welfare, chiefly because..advocates of the rights of property as against the rights of men have been pushing their claims too far"

I don't think that the 200 million Americans who are millionaires would like to take that deal.

You would be surprised how many people hate themselves to the point where no matter what you do for them, they will always be a bunch of losers.

Yes...but not socialism. Capitalism works when no corrupted. Socialism is subject to corruption as well.
