Nancy Pelosi has passed the baton, but it remains to be seen who she passes it to. Hakeem Jeffries would be a perpetuation of the system as it is. Hopefully someone who is willing to lead House Democrats in a more progressive direction will run for leadership & be next in line.

Someone? There is no one there to play a progressive role.

Someone from #TheSquad needs to stand up and offer an anti-corruption, pro-constituent alternative to Jeffries. @AOC would be the natural choice, her following across the country gives her the political capital to run as that public voice. /1

Until progressives win more elections and seats, they can influence and win more seats.

never really expected anything but an establishment choice. Leadership first, & ability to whip votes might be OK, cos strategy was Nancy's light sabre. At least Tom Perez is gone.
