No, voting is a responsibility for people willing to put forth some effort. We need less people voting because most people just don’t care.

I think having IQ tests required for voting would make a lot of sense

I could support Election Day as a national holiday. I don't think putting it on a weekend would be a win. Voting might have difficulties up against hunting trips, vacations and a day at the lake.

To a large degree, voting will never make a difference as long as we continue to allow incumbent politicians of both sides redistrict their electorate. #EndGerrymandering

Please also talk about how we need to change *the way* we vote! If want people to be more motivated to participate, they have to be able to express true preferences without defaulting to the lesser of two evils. We can do this w/ reforms like RCV or STAR via ballot initiatives.

I agree with automatic voter registration, *but* the question then is, which party will they be automatically registered under? As long as we have closed primary states, I don’t see it being feasible.

Fact of the matter is most people probably shouldn't vote due to the fact they pay no attention to politics or news, and idk how much you interact with the average person, but a lot are dumb as a box of rocks. Also all but like 4 states have early voting. no reason for a holiday

It should definitely be a holiday, where everyone can go and do it. I finished work, and went and it was after 6pm. Then still had to take care of dinner, and life.
