We will end the aberrational era in which short term corporate profit maximization became the governing principle of the United States under a corrupt political establishment, and replace it with the humanitarian and democratic values that are our original foundational principles

"...humanitarian and democratic values that are our original foundational principles" like slavery?!? What are you even talking about?

There’s always been a tragic gap between principles on which we purport to stand & our own often violent transgressions against them; 41 of 56 signers of Dec of Independence were slave owners. It’s the job of each generation to try to close the gap. Some have & now it’s our turn

Except, in your original tweet you made a ludicrously erroneous (and racist) claim about "our original foundational principles." "Humanitarian": Indigenous genocide, Black slavery. "Democratic": Indigenous people, Black people, women, and non-wealthy white people couldn't vote.

But your whole statement is nonsense. Profit maximization has always been the governing principle bc how else do you end up with slavery? And unless you're talking about ending capitalism, nothing you said means anything.
