This is the problem with limiting the focus of mental health concern to the individual. For millions of Americans the economic system is so rigged against them that simply trying to survive is traumatizing. That’s not a mental health problem; it’s an economic injustice problem
Depressing how much of healing from trauma comes down to ‘remind yourself that you’re safe now!’ when such a large percentage of the population is like one missed paycheck away from complete ruin and is not, in fact, safe and maybe never will be

Depression will go away when people stop being victims and take control of their actions.

The System is unfair ... and it's the system ... that helps keep our prisons full ... our sidewalks filled with homeless people ... and prevents our children from learning ... You Can't Learn ... if you're Starving!

I 100% agree and it’s frustrating that money is a leading cause of depression and suicide yet it’s effect Is downplayed and there’s no treatment for it offered
