If Bernie's windfall profits tax were enacted last year it would have raised $400 billion from just 30 corporations including: -$12.7 billion from Chevron -$9.5 billion from Exxon -$9.5 billion from Conoco That's enough revenue to provide every working class American $2,000.

Interesting, if that had happened, what would be the price of a gallon of gas today? Corps don't pay taxes, they pass that cost on to consumers. So again, what would the price be for a gallon of gas with this tax?

1st off - money is only (or mostly) given to people NOT working so this metric is of less interest right there. If you are advocating for a windfall profit tax, will you support a market decline credit of equal amount?
