Taxes should be fair and based on income. We should not be confiscating wealth. We need innovators. Most of the net worth is only on paper and not realized. What of Bill Gates and Buffet who a have pledged to donate their wealth?

This represents a truly obnoxious war on success that absolutely is maddening. Imagine a world without Apple, Amazon, Microsoft, Victoria’s Secret etc etc etc. great men always lead innovation not government. If you want less progress then remove incentives.

Taxation is theft and you are a fraud.

I'd settle for a functional government.. even if a wealth tax ever passed, it would have already been gutted by leadership of both parties. #politicaldistractions

You sound like you're living in the wrong country? I love this country how you can start with nothing and then become a billionaire.

YES! ... A wealth tax is needed ... The amount of money these people make is ... OBSENE!

Do they get a refund if they lose money or their wealth goes down? If they are forced to sell stock to pay the taxes, do common stockholders get credits or refunds when their stock tanks from the large transactions. See Mark Zuckerberg.

#nowealthtax Not even close to an ethical form of taxation. Tax gains, tax value-added... But putting a soft cap on wealth is how you retard human progress.

That’s a terrible idea!
