I’d rather have my Senator be a principled man who sometimes has trouble getting his words out, than someone who can get his words out but sacrificed his principles along the way.
Here’s a truth few will say aloud but I will: Being a senator is America’s easiest job. You just have to sit there & say “yay” or “nay.” This notion that @JohnFetterman can’t do that job because he’s recovering from a health event is moronic — and everyone in media knows it.

You would rather have a politician who shits his pants than one who wears the pants?

I think the point is that a system that forces a choice between such unappealing options is a disservice to Americans and an indictment of the current fetishization of red/blue factions empty of moral content

He lied about the extent of his capabilities after having a stroke. Not very principled.

He’s not principled. He was against fracking, now he’s pretending he isn’t.

“Principled”? The man has never worked a real job in his entire life until elected mayor of Braddock where he did a lousy job. And is a lousy Lt. Gov. The man suckled at his family’s financial teat until he was 49. Is that principled?
