As long as they don’t hurt the art (which they’re not), I think environmental activists throwing food stuff etc. onto priceless paintings to highlight the insanity of our priorities is a pretty glorious piece of agitprop.

The Youth have to do something nonviolent that warrants getting thrown in jail-not a 1 hr/$100 One & Done Visit-staying in jail long enough to Rattle Grandma In Charge of The Trust Fund In The Fossil Fuel Manager’s Bank to get nervous-like the draft of rich kids to vietnam❤️🌏🙏🏽

Truly a bourgeois sentiment. We're all going to die in a earthquake/fire/flood and you're like "but don't hurt my pretty pictures in the process of resisting it"

Activism is meaningless if it’s just performative. Activism has to be both conscious raising and motivating/inspiring. When it’s just shocking it comes off as annoying

This is the first time I have ever disagreed with you. Refreshing, actually.

Throwing food to make a point, in a world where 2.3 billion are food insecure, is a pretty entitled position to be in, don’t you think?

Nature itself is the greatest piece of art ever created. I’m actually glad that oil companies are ruining the environment/nature because I think that art sucks… it’s the same feeling those protesters have defacing shit in art galleries … but I apply that logic toward nature
