As long as they don’t hurt the art (which they’re not), I think environmental activists throwing food stuff etc. onto priceless paintings to highlight the insanity of our priorities is a pretty glorious piece of agitprop.

People are visual. They see a painting with food smeared on it and that elicits an emotional response. Climate change isn't visual. You can't see millions starving to death. Hopefully people connect the dots and understand the whole planet is being vandalized by fossil fuels.
