Plan for progressives victory. 1) run progressive candidates in the primaries 2) consistently vote in EVERY election. 3) Vote for the candidate that has best chance to win. 4) vote for the person closest to your views and/or against the opponent that will make things worse.

They *could* except for big donors and media owners wouldn't like it. So given a choice between victory and losing big money, they're sticking with the money as in nearly every other election.
