The best thing Democrats could do to beat Republicans in the midterms is to provide a genuine alternative to their economic agenda: Universal healthcare, free/near free college, total cancellation of college loan debt. Progressive policies are the ones that motivate and inspire

Guns are usually not a good issue for Dems. But most of the crime is gun violence that has escalated in Republican controlled states that have relaxed gun laws. Gun violence has increased 70% in Ohio in the last few years of 100% Republican state control.

Agree with you on healthcare, but I don鈥檛 think free college & debt forgiveness is as big of a motivator as you think it is though. Democrats could probably motivate voters more by going after government corruption and wasteful spending.
