Fossil fuel energy costs 5- 17 cents per kilowatt-hour. Solar energy costs 3-6 cents per kilowatt-hour. Going solar significantly lowers our energy costs & our carbon footprint. W/out an emergency level transition to a clean energy grid the planet will become uninhabitable.

It confuses me why the pro-capitalism, pro-competition, less-price-means-the-right-answer politicians aren't giving the same subsidies to renewables as they do to fossil fuels when they know it'll lead to more competition and lower prices. tiktok.com/t/ZTRH2YjpV/

And solar is just one source, we have wind, tidal, geothermal and soon fusion to power the planet, no need to burn dinosaurs any longer. But we do because of Capitalism and an industry which hauls in $3,000,000,000,000 per year can buy a lot of politicians and pseudoscience.

Yet solar is not capable of providing consistent energy supply to power most homes. Not mention the absurd cost of solar and that’s without a battery system for back up even with tax credits.

Wind and solar are like buying an EV that only works 5 days out of 10. You can't get rid of reliable internal combustion transportation. Which means, your cost of transportation goes up: Cost and Care of EV + Cost and Care of Fossil Vehicle

Good luck finding space and permission for the solar fields. Nuclear will start moving forward. Power plants built usin defunct coal fire plant.

Let’s wait until after the nuclear missiles have launched and everything has settled down.

You have some very bad information. You simply cannot solely depend on the sun, wind or water for the power necessary for our lifestyles. The cleanest fuel by far is natural gas.

So what is the cost and timeframe to convert a majority of American homes to solar?

If solar is so cheap, why is it so heavily subsidized?
