Fossil fuel energy costs 5- 17 cents per kilowatt-hour. Solar energy costs 3-6 cents per kilowatt-hour. Going solar significantly lowers our energy costs & our carbon footprint. W/out an emergency level transition to a clean energy grid the planet will become uninhabitable.

Went whole house solar 3 years ago. Net metering essentially makes the power company my battery. Covers 100% of my needs including electric car.

Solar tech is how expensive to produce? Solar tech is a danger to birds. Solar tech lasts for how long? Solar tech only works 12 hours a day. Nuclear works 24/7 for decades.

What about battery back up?

Solar power isnโ€™t realistic on a wide scale currently. We do need to make transitioning to clean energy a priority in the future, however.

This is not even close to being true I donโ€™t have enough space here to tell you all the reasons that itโ€™s wrong

Now tell everybody how big the solar farm would be that would have to supply NYC which uses 15.1 terawatts of electricity a year. Solar isn't up to the job without assistance.

Until the Sun goes down ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ How many solar panels do you need to light Las Vegas at night ?

Solar is unreliable because the sun isn't always out. Its not actually renewable because the materials needed to make a solar panel aren't, and solar panels degrade over time. And battery storage isn't good enough to store all the power needed for civilization.
