Homelessness is an inevitable consequence of trickle-down economics. Over half a million Americans are homeless but there are 16 million vacant homes here. We need a 21st C Economic Bill of Rights to break the back of a soulless economic order & put people's lives back on track

Homelessness is a result of mental illness not poverty. Why does the left insist on denying the existence of mental illness? Oh yeah because it goes against your narrative

I’d say homelessness stems more from failed mental health policies and the war on drugs. We suck at treating severe mental health illnesses and we’ve lost the war on drugs. Remedy those and many would not be homeless.

I’ve worked with the homeless population I feel bad for the homeless population but most of them are making a conscious choice to not work. Am I going to work so that they can get a free ride I don’t like that I sacrificed a lot to get where I am. And I’m a liberal

No Marianne, “the poor you will always have with you.” Being poor doesn’t come from Republican policy. Nice try though.
