Capitalism will never let it happen. More middlemen means higher GDP, more jobs, etc. The phenomenon of bullshit jobs is a necessary feature of Capitalism.

There are plenty of hybrid capitalist-socialist economies in the world that have universal healthcare.

There are but do the math. If the US were to switch to M4A (which I support 100%) it would reduce our GDP by more than 10% and millions of jobs would be lost. The velocity of $ (# of transactions) would decrease and US Capitalists will NEVER allow M4A.

M4A would actually benefit the economy. Jobs would be created in healthcare for increased visits to doctors. More Americans would see a doctor more often if preventive healthcare was free, which would improve their health and reduce healthcare costs. washingtonpost.com/business/…
