I agree with this entirely. Acting like his comments were no big deal (that people should "get over it" because ...what... antisemitism has never really hurt anybody?) puts Jews in an awkward position. If we're silent we feel complicit. If we speak up it's "There you go again."
A lot of folks are probably reacting to Kanye with a shrug — it’s just Kanye; it’s not like he’s in a position to act on his anti-Semitism; etc. Don’t. His behavior isn’t harmless. Normalizing hate moves the Overton window on what’s acceptable for people under far less scrutiny.

I'm *really* excited to share that my book THE SHADOW DOCKET — an in-depth introduction to the problematic rise of unsigned and unexplained #SCOTUS rulings affecting all of us — is now available for pre-order (and due out from @BasicBooks next May): tinyurl.com/shadowdocket

I'm just so much more concerned about the millions of people suffering due to our proxy war with Russia. This feels like a distraction to me.

I'm seeing people getting called out for expressing opinions and personal(right or wrong)views all the time now. I'm not sure if it helps anything.

Noone should remain silent in the face of hate. No matter who it comes from.

🙄 Rashida just said "apartheid Israel" and people lost their minds over the truth. I think they are just gangs of Trump supporters online (with fake profiles) trying to put groups of people they don't like against each other. Kanye is on Trump's side so they are silent. 🙄
