Until we get the money out of politics our democracy will be under continuous assault. We get to influence lawmakers every two years while corporate lobbyists influence them every hour of every working day.

I have always thought you showed greater candor and courage than most. In this case, not quite. Until we get the money out of politics, there is no democracy, just a simulation protecting the reality of a plutocracy.

Been screaming about it forever. Out votes do nothing. The lobbyist and their bankrolls decided everything.

The amount of money in politics is just the mark to market on the ‘value’ government provides to insiders. It’s a supply side problem. Not demand side. You want to solve the issue of money in politics, then reduce the value of government. (Shrink it)

With elections drowning in dollars the notion that democracy even exists is a fallacy, We are truly steeped in the oils of fascism, but not willing to admit it.
