Aside from Hoyer's scumbaggery, politically speaking, that's a really dumb thing to put out there right before a midterm election.

They have been the Reagan Democratic Party for 40 years now. The farthest "Left" they're willing to go is "moderate 1980s Republican", as Barack Obama called himself. On political economy they'd be Far Right in Europe.
