The question isn’t whether there are fascist forces at the door (there are). The larger question is why? Fascism would never have gotten the foothold it has now had democracy been delivering in its promises. It has not, and the entire corrupt system is responsible for that.

I do not doubt the “Establishment”, as well as we ourselves, have responsibility for how we got here and what needs to be done to move forward. To what extent, are we responsible for the actions, hate, and belief in falsehoods of others? I do try to stay mindful of their humanity

In a true fascist regime you would not be tweeting.

I disagree. Not that some of the promises have not been realized. But that fact is the reason fascism is present in this country. I think that it has been there to one degree or another. There is always someone who wants an uneven advantage. It has coalesced under DJT.

When politicians put their personal greed and desire for power, ahead of their duty to protect the people from corporate greed, you get neoliberal policies. That sets the stage for greater need of control which leads to fascism. The US hasn't been a democracy for a while.

Fascism took hold because people want to believe they can put someone in power who will reshape the country into what it "should" be. So, tell us about your presidential run again?
