The question isn’t whether there are fascist forces at the door (there are). The larger question is why? Fascism would never have gotten the foothold it has now had democracy been delivering in its promises. It has not, and the entire corrupt system is responsible for that.

Damn right. People don't choose fascism when they're happy. They choose it when they're afraid & desperate. FDR Stamped out fascism for a while because he acted to meet people's needs, with some success. Neoliberalism has been undermining his success since at least Reagan.

Yes, fascist ideologies are amongst the worst symptoms of Colonialism, Patriarchal belief systems (familial, corporate, religious, etc...), bigotry, and the essential hubris of man. #WakeUp #GrowUp #Evolve #VoteBlueToProtectWomen #Peace

The "corrupt system" is only as corrupt as voters want it to be. Voters can take on problematic campaign finance and lobbying laws, ethics regulations, transparency in government, undemocratic elements like the Electoral College whenever they like. They just don't want to.
