Over half a million homeless people in America is not a cause, it’s a symptom. A nation’s economy should to the best of our ability set everyone up to win. Yet ours does not. Those who hold the major levers of power don’t even think that would be a good idea. 1/3

From refusing to tax the very richest to corporate subsidies to absurd military budget, our biggest problem isn’t economic but moral: a willingness to see massive human suffering as an acceptable result of our economy’s driving impulse to give more to those who already have. 2/3

The US could afford housing by buying and maintaining the homes needed and enforcing and assigning employment. No one should be left without a home and a car! The state can buy used cars for their need and enforce employment and drug testing! Carelessness has lost a fortune..

50% of those people are severely mentally ill. 50% have been in the foster care system. It's a pipeline to prison and/or homelessness. We need to prevent these kids from ever entering the system and if they do we need robust mental health services to help them w/ their trauma.

I think you forgot the part about Hollywood and the music industry glorifying drugs, guns, and sexual exploitation of women.
