Given our spectacular failures in Iraq and Afghanistan, our continuing to feed the same war machine that produced them is a sure sign - as if we needed it - that our military budget has little if anything to do with national security.

I don’t know, the defense budget seems far more germane to national security than your space crystal bullshit is to people’s pocketbooks. Also, the first things that will be cut are good programs that don’t directly relate to readiness and lethality, not bombs like you imagine.
