GOP Senators like Romney and Grassley are saying Biden's loan forgiveness is him trying to "bribe" the voters. Hilarious. They have "serving" the people confused with "bribing" the people. And Senators who take corporate donations certainly know what legalized bribery is.

The government robbing the poor and people who already paid their loans off, is "serving the people"? This is why leftist economics is a joke.

“Robbing the poor and those who already paid off their loans?” Hardly. The 2017 $2T tax cut - which I assume you supported - where 83 cents of every dollar went to the richest individuals and corporations - THAT was robbing the poor.

I'm not rich or a corporation and got a great deal of tax relief from Trumps plan. Also fact check: the plan broadly impacted the middle class the most, you're confusing ratios with absolute numbers (leftists tend not to get math)

The middle class tax part of it was good. In fact it should have been done before. But it was a cover for what they were really after: the 83 cents on every dollar tax cut for the richest. They gave you a piece of pie so they could give the very rich the whole kitchen.

I have no issue with cutting the taxes of the upper echelon so long as we proportionally reduce the size and scope of the government. Let's abolish half the bureaus and call it a day.

So you think a huge corporate aristocracy our government just funnels money into is not a problem? You don't think that's a form of tyranny in itself? You're okay with it as long as we shrink government? Then who or what protects you from exploitation by those corporations?

Why would I worry about who will protect me from weaker gangs when the biggest gang is gone?

The government definitely won't protect you. It's not doing it now. The only difference will be lower taxes and more freedom

Government props up the oligarchy. Government just oversaw the largest wealth transfer from the middle class to the elite in human history. The aristocracy would lose considerable influence without corrupt politicians giving them the edge.
Does the government actually protect you from big corporations or enable them to rough shot over you.
If you give the government $5, you'll get back $5 worth of tyranny, then they'll borrow another $5 on your kid's credit to devalue your remaining cash further than they already have.

The government isn’t in the business of protecting people, only protecting itself.

Me. I don't engage with corporations unless I want to. Corporations need only flex a little greenback muscle and your protection becomes conditional. That's even if the gov't can see a self-advantage in giving you protections to began with. Oh, my sweet summer child.

Robbing Peter to pay Paul is theft no matter which way you cut it. Terminate all us government programs to back loans. They shouldn’t be in that business. A great place to start is their underwriting of student debt. Allow universities, borrowers and lenders to come to terms
