Why do some people think kindergarten through 12th grade is reasonable public education but anything beyond that is getting something for nothing? It’s reasonable govt investment to support people going as high in their education including technical school as they’re able to go.

Only for high priority fields. Why subsidize an education that contributes little to society

Our tax dollars already subsidize state universities, & loans for private too... which led to the mess we’re in now. Lots of that $$ going to bloated administration. Higher ed has become a corrupt credentialing service, not a place of free inquiry & debate.

It’s not government ‘investing’, it’s raising taxes. Mostly on people that don’t have children in college.

Tech schoool was high school. Folk graduated with job skills. Then they took tech out and tried to force college instead.

why can't we transition to the British education system. were you only go to high school two grade 10 unless you have high enough test scores then you can go to a university and you continue high School. if not you go to a trade school in high school.

1000% realistically keep the cog in the machine formula and only cater to those menial, middle management, labor intensive jobs. Seriously for a public college that would be ideal.

In the short term I'm all for giving some relief to college debtors...its part of what Biden ran on...medium/long term we need to address the fact these universities are charging way too much and will keep raising costs if its gonna be forgiven

Employers need educated people. Why are there not more apprenticeships and tuition reimbursements from companies?
