Why do some people think kindergarten through 12th grade is reasonable public education but anything beyond that is getting something for nothing? It’s reasonable govt investment to support people going as high in their education including technical school as they’re able to go.

Because that is the particular construct here in the US. In Canada in the past one tract of student went to grade 13 a liberal arts college tract. It was equivalent to freshman year in the US. There always was a vocational tract to grade 12.

They're doing such a bang-up job with K-12, why not devalue degrees even more? If you aren't needlessly schooling with a liberal arts education until you're 30, you're gonna do something stupid like save money or have a family.

Democrats aren’t concerned about people that work REAL trades because they know they will never get their vote. They want the frustrated barista and the marketing manager who’s been spending their whole adult life spending more than they make.

Then let the government pay for it. Oops, the government has no money. It comes from taxpayers. That's a tougher sell especially for those who already paid for their kids and grand kids education. Maybe add a new employment tax to force savings for college. Make everyone pay.

Education, like roads, is a public good. Our economy advances because we are all literate & can think critically to@make smart decisions. It’s also a private good & a moral good & mental health good. What I am is God’s gift to me. What I become is my gift to God, to you & self
