I grew up in poverty in the mountains of NC. I ate out of a garden, lived in government housing, shopped at yard sales. I joined the Air Force. Earned my GI BILL. I attained 4 degrees and created my own version of the American Dream. I am not responsible for your student debt.

The GI Bill is the point! That was govt funding your education. So the rest of us DID pay for your education. FDR wanted it for everyone but the G.I. Bill for veterans was all he was able to get through Congress. It helped build a middle-class then and would help rebuild it now

I EARNED & also paid into the GI Bill. It was deducted from my monthly pay. The pay for enlisted service members is minimal. It did not cover all of my education. My husband worked/paid for it. I did the same for him when he went to school. We worked to pay our college costs.

All we’re saying is that the payment should be minimal for everyone. That is how it used to be in this country, which built and maintained a middle class which has now been nearly destroyed.

Rich elite snobs who go to overpriced elite East and West Coast schools are not the middle class. Stop pretending they are. The President has no authority to transfer debt. Again, you fools keep pretending the debt is just vanishing.
You’re fixing NOTHING. Stop shielding wealthy colleges! How do you help the working class by having them pay for others mistakes?!

No...we paid for the gi bill, it was taken out of our pay...and we paid by our service to this country while being paid pennies. Gi bill is a benefit that we earned!!!!! 🤬
The Government did not fund education for anyone. It was not a gift to service people. It was compensation. An agreement made prior to joining. They earned it. Losers getting forgiveness know are being conned by you and the Democrats. Cut the bullshit
