I grew up in poverty in the mountains of NC. I ate out of a garden, lived in government housing, shopped at yard sales. I joined the Air Force. Earned my GI BILL. I attained 4 degrees and created my own version of the American Dream. I am not responsible for your student debt.

The GI Bill is the point! That was govt funding your education. So the rest of us DID pay for your education. FDR wanted it for everyone but the G.I. Bill for veterans was all he was able to get through Congress. It helped build a middle-class then and would help rebuild it now

I EARNED & also paid into the GI Bill. It was deducted from my monthly pay. The pay for enlisted service members is minimal. It did not cover all of my education. My husband worked/paid for it. I did the same for him when he went to school. We worked to pay our college costs.

All we’re saying is that the payment should be minimal for everyone. That is how it used to be in this country, which built and maintained a middle class which has now been nearly destroyed.

The GI Bill and this student loan forgiveness is not comparable. I will say no sane American agrees with the exorbitant tuition or predatory lending. Loan forgiveness is not the solution. This will exacerbate the problem. We all need to demand change from colleges and lenders!

You're saying nothing of substance. How dare you act as if our soldiers are freeloaders like your woke soy boi bishes!? You need to retract.
What are we going to do when the next batch of college students moan and whine about having to repay THEIR loans? Are you going to stick the taxpayers with ANOTHER $500 billion bill?

Did everyone agree to give their lives for us? The Biden money will go for the children of rich people. Many who now work in the corrupt White House.
Veterans receive this benefit because they risked their lives to serve this country. The people who are getting Biden's handout today did not. See the difference?

If you want low payments then go after the universities and lenders who took advantage of govt backed loans to sky rocket prices. Limit the loan amount based on major. Stop attacking our vets!

Colleges should compete in a fair market. It is the availability of federal loans that allow colleges to raise prices. All for-profit postsecondary institutions increased tuition inflation 233.8% from 2010 to 2020. They should be investigated for price gouging.

If you want lower prices, blame the schools and the fed. Why is the Fed insuring risky loans? Why are schools taking advantage and charging the max of what the Fed will insure while simultaneously doing all they can to expand seating for more student and loans? Fed is Subsidizing
If you don't address the cost of college and why they charge so much and change it, then you aren't helping anyone but the rich colleges.

Are you telling us the middle-class is almost nonexistent? Do a little research madam. 🙄
