Supposedly it’s going to be $10k off a college loan debt. We give multibillion dollar subsidies to companies that are already making billions in profit, while saying to people who are drowning in despair to expect crumbs in the mail any day now. He should cancel it all.

I paid mine, how much can I expect?

I wish some enterprising journalist would find out how many social security pensions are being garnished to repay student loans incurred by the elderly decades ago. My guess is that it is not insubstantial.

Yes, they may be crumbs now. Anyone starving should appreciate crumbs when no one else has ever Considered giving you crumbs. I Wish I could magically lose $10,000 of my debt. Whoever thinks that this is a slap in the face doesn't need to accept it

$10,000 is paltry. Many with a $6k debt barely need forgiveness. Someone earning $50k with a $150,000 debt can barely make ends meet.

Thank you! I agree totally he should cancel…crumbs vs billions still in pocket of the rich!🌹❤️😉

Why doesn’t he cancel all debt? That’s a great idea - cancel all debts! No more subsidies aka companies reinvesting their profits! They should use it to pay everybody’s debts!

Student loans subsidize the govt. It took the place of mortgages almost 20 years. A 30 yr bond on a house helps the govt invest and pay debts. Until the housing market crash. So student loan debt saves the day. Like a 22 yr old can have a 25 yr repayment plan but can’t buy a home
