Supposedly it’s going to be $10k off a college loan debt. We give multibillion dollar subsidies to companies that are already making billions in profit, while saying to people who are drowning in despair to expect crumbs in the mail any day now. He should cancel it all.

Cancelling debt while leaving perverse incentives in place guarantees a repeat demand of more forgiveness in years to come. But now, with the expectation of future forgiveness, many will max out loans & minimize payments. Well played geniuses, well played.

Government giving Billions to Car manufacturing in subsidies, but can’t help out ordinary Americans. Elon Musk needs our Tax dollar though. Also Fiat, ramping up EV challengers and chargers to get their Billions in tax dollars. It’s just crazy.

It pays off debt for a third of college loan borrowers, and leaves the door open for future congressional action. The progress you don't personally want is still progress.

Why don’t you put your efforts into lobbying for free community college? Canceling debt is a short term fix. We need to fight back making education a priority again and making college more widely accessible. Do that.
He can’t cancel it all and 👇
The higher you try to go with loan forgiveness via EO, the higher the chance it gets legal challenges. If loan forgiveness ends up before the current Supreme Court, you put all loan forgiveness, current and future, in jeopardy. Congress needs to act for more.

If you cancel it all it becomes a HUGE windfall for people making $100-$200-$300,000. How will the working class react to that?
