The purpose of government should be to set people up to win… to support a person’s dreams, not thwart them. In too many ways now the system actually sets people up to lose. College loan debt is an example. It’s a predatory system that should never have existed to begin with.

The unasked and unanswered question in all of this is why does college cost so mush that it requires effectively mortgaging your entire life? That is at the root of the college loan mess.

EVERY time the government sets up a loan program for the underserved it backfires into massive debt for the borrowers! Student debt is one of those, 10-20% is not what Biden promised, nor does it help students or graduates. This is a HUGE disappointment!

The government should not provide student loans?

Yet you want to keep the system going, you even want to subsidize it with more tax money.

Imagine being such a subpar human being that you need government to help you succeed.

So you’re saying we should outlaw student loans? Finally you have a policy I can agree with
Good government should prevent barbaric outcomes produced by the market, such as a college education causing a lifetime of indebtedness. Higher education should be FREE, a right provided to everyone living in a society of such abundance.
