The reason they don't want to cancel the college loan debt, give universal health care or near free college tuition has little to do with economics. They don't want to do them because it would empower people... and empowering people would undercut the corporatist establishment

Some people will carry this to their grave due to resells and interest upon interest. No empowerment there. Paying loans with retirement checks, no retirement there. Cancel on the elderly, not the newly aquired.
