The reason they don't want to cancel the college loan debt, give universal health care or near free college tuition has little to do with economics. They don't want to do them because it would empower people... and empowering people would undercut the corporatist establishment

Yes. The oligarchy prefers their potential workers burdened with debt so that they always have power over their potential employees. A country full of people saving money could lead to people leaving jobs that abuse them. You see how much they hate that with the great resignation

That's a sad thought @marwilliamson I would so much rather hear 'yes we will forgive student debt' which would send a message to youth voters that they are valued, their future is important, the Democratic party cares. I am 🙏 for this. Youth votes needed for safe climate future.

If they wanted to cancel the interest on the loans, but require payment of the principal, that would be fair solution for all parties. But, canceling it all? You just f*cked over every person who paid their loans back. And gave those who didn’t a pass. #Givebackthedegreetoo
