The reason they don't want to cancel the college loan debt, give universal health care or near free college tuition has little to do with economics. They don't want to do them because it would empower people... and empowering people would undercut the corporatist establishment

This is why I prioritize voting reform. Voting reform would make politicians accountable to ppl. Until then, they hold our vote hostage by threatening that "if you don't vote for us, then you're letting them win!" Shame is more powerful than solutions. Let's change that.

Teaching people not to be responsible for their decisions they make because someone( government) is going to come and save them, does not empower people. It does the opposite and encourages dependency.
