To say love could save the world is not naive; what's naive is to think we'll last another hundred on this planet if we don't at least try.

I started a hashtag years ago #loveistheonlypermanence - and, I knew then what love would be. Love still could be what I felt it was. There was a song I contemplated as a Cupertino grade school student, called “What is love?”. I’ve found people loved their own unloveable aspects.

We can't expect everyone to have the same capacity to love just like all other things. But if the people in positions of power can truly embrace love, and I mean rational love, as their guiding light then the world will truly be transformed.

Thank you Marianne for your conviction. Love is the only way through this mess, whether it's environmental, economic, social, political, religious or otherwise. We must love to save ourselves and this world. God help us all.
