Humanity is on a collision course with itself. We can survive IF: ...we get rid of nuclear bombs .... shut down fossil fuel extraction ... learn to live collaboratively ... wage peace instead of war. Our choice is a fundamental break with the past, or species extinction.

Are you crazy? Shutting down fossil fuel extraction, millions would die. More nuke power.

Some things which no society has ever been able to reach since the invention of the nation state. But we can change it, anytime we like.
"That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government..." - Thomas Jefferson #DirectDemocracy #GiftEconomy No permission necessary.

Fantastical agendas actually arrest progress. Nuclear weapons technology exists. The bell cannot be unrung. War can never be eliminated, but it can be deterred. Want to reduce probability of extinction through atomic holocaust or climate change? Confront reality *with* reality.

No kidding, but how can this happen without an all-out war between the progressive and conservative factions? Humanity is far from united and the irony is that, at present, progress will likely only come by force. Or management by a superior alien species.

You really think we have a choice? Do you really have control over the things you cannot control? Look in the mirror and repeat the mantra in AA meetings.

Truth, but sadly it would appear the human gene pool needs a cleansing.
