For “fare evasion????” I’m not even mad, I just want to cry. What cruelty & barbarism we’re accepting as normal. Anyone who doesn’t think that these are the precedents of a police state doesn’t understand what a police state is. And we’re being asked to fund more of this…?

He could have just got a ticket for fare evasion. But now it will be resisting arrest and maybe even an assault charge. Some people are just stupid.

Our cops regularly do much worse, for much less & almost ALWAYS misplace or lose body-cam footage. If facial is ever TRULY rolled out, mailing such people (pinched like hell right now because of inflation like everyone else), a fine citation.

Worlds greatest bootlicker.

They are not asking - Biden just takes the $ for Covid relief or whatever and gives it to the cops instead

He should have paid his fare but the civilian has no place in that mess

A lot of money goes into enforcing fare payment and processing the fares themselves. Public transit should probably be free.

It’s not about ferry vation it’s about a lack of respect for civil society and one a uniformed officer approaches you regarding your theft fair evasion your attitude is to fight back and act indignant as though you have every right to be a thief because you’re special
