This isn't high school, Matt. Or a board game. We're not dealing with abstracts - we're dealing with real people some of whom are best not unnecessarily provoked. I don't see any good that comes from this.

Love you Marianne, but did you see how grateful the Taiwanese (24M) were to have her support? It meant everything. Do we let China Hong Kong them too thru bullying just to keep a chamberlin peace?

We have to distinguish bn the actual situation and wise course of action. China is an aggressive and dangerous nation unlike any other. That's the reality. Was it wise for Pelosi to visit? That's the question. But just assessing the threat from China shouldn't be controversial.
