So well put.
How come when banks, car companies and airlines collapse they get a bailout, but when people's bank accounts collapse they get an overdraft fee?

@DanPriceSeattle Because of our global monetary system since 1971, which is pure fiat money backed only by decree of the government. It is based on debt and the power of the state to produce more money whenever desired. Of course this power is constantly abused -> bailouts.

@DanPriceSeattle Fiat money should require at least the backing by a commodity that the PEOPLE decided is valuable, hard money and that can't be easily reproduced by a single power. This used to be gold and silver in the past. Now #Bitcoin is better suited in every aspect.

@DanPriceSeattle #Bitcoin supply is firmly limited (!), holds no counterparty risk, is easier to trade and is only produced & secured by real work (⚡). Due to its deflationary nature, it breaks the necessity for perpetual growth and makes environmental sustainability possible.

Adding to this is the bailout of Chrysler some years ago, but of course in the name of avoiding an employment collapse of the local community plus to "insure" a healthy state of competition in our capitalist model...Ahh! Makes one want to become a corporation too big to fail.

Money. It's always about the money. Period. It's the one thing that's corrupted America the most. Money and that "power" it brings.
