How is it that republicans blocked this if Democrats control Congress? What was the vote breakdown?

Republicans support the veterans 100% The problem is these bills are not stand alone bills They are usually stuffed with something that is not agreed upon and then political theater and outrage occurs Politicians are sneaky that way Everyone should know this by now 🙄

I've learned not to judge before knowing all of the facts. What else was in that bill? If this was the only thing in this bill, of course, not cool. However, my experience says there were a couple of things not cool trying to be included in the bill, hiding behind the cool

Why should mercenaries get better health care than those that did not pursue a profession of murder for hire?

If the men and women can no longer be tricked into serving with promises of travel, education, healthcare, etc., the Congress will simply re-up the draft. Doesn't help that all these wars are just for money and oil.

I agree with Jon. All the pork in the world should be added to bills like this! People are too stupid to understand corrupt politicians get wealthy from the pork! How else can the politicians & their rich friends get even richer with these stupid Republicans blocking their bills?

Moral outage won’t cut it. Workers must use their power to counter these forces. What he’s doing feels good but doesn’t offer way forward to exercise worker power. Kill me if I’m getting proxy consciousness from celebrities poking their heads out to model ineffectual raging.
