FDR is not a reputable source on freedom. Man threatened to pack the supreme court because they shot down his policies for being unconstitutional and put Japanese Americans in concentration camps.

FDR was the guy who installed the Jefferson memorial. If you honor TJ, a corrupt, criminal (in his day, not just ours) slaveholder & hypocrite, you lack the credibility to prescribe what freedoms are important.
