Well, if we have states that are okay with 10 year girls becoming mothers, why would we be surprised if we have states okay with 12 year olds working? We have lost our way.

Beyond this particular evil, very deep in the article is information on the repeated safety and labor violations that the company has been cited for. It is clear that the fines that regulators assess are only a minor cost of doing business. A systemic problem of corp. government.

Companies will do ANYTHING to not pay decent wages. It's also pretty nice they'll pay an outside labor agency to avoid responsibility for their workers. Just use that money to pay real workers!
