I wonder how many journalists have already held back from reporting things they know in their heart a Free Press should be reporting, thinking “After what they’ve done to Julian Assange maybe I better not.” Authoritarianism doesn’t just land on people, it creeps toward us slowly

If GOP wins, you will see real authoritarianism implemented. Read Democracy in Chains. Been planned since the 50's.

I don’t think they think that way anymore. They report what the government tells them to report, and they believe that’s the function of a “free press”.

“journalists holding back from the truth” is exactly why the public flees to #JimmyDore, #RussellBrand, #JoeRogan. There’s a problem in journalism when comedians can show more receipts & traceable sources than corp media

Those few that would have been brave enough, very few.

Passed papers about the Central Texas Medical Foundation and the murder of a man for organs to a black news announcer (Violet) in Huntsville. Saw her leaving in car with 2 scary men. It was announced she changed jobs. Then she disappeared. Several people I knew disappeared in AL.
India has its own Julian @RanaAyyub Still fighting it out despite all odds and state persecution. Bringing truth out and not getting intimidated by the powerful regime is their strength. Julian will triumph.

That is but only one aspect of how our media is compromised. The biggest and most prevalent aspect is that they cover for and/or just act as the PR arm of the DNC, RNC, CIA, FBI, and NSA. Those brave like Assange will still act, but they are far and few in between, a rarity.
