I wonder how many journalists have already held back from reporting things they know in their heart a Free Press should be reporting, thinking “After what they’ve done to Julian Assange maybe I better not.” Authoritarianism doesn’t just land on people, it creeps toward us slowly

That’s no authoritarianism, that’s our form of Democracy.

Since long ago, US people are in a deep dreaming mode believing they have "democracy and free speech". In great part thanks to Hollywood.
Definitely Hollywood is a brain washing machine! 🤮

@SenatorBennet you are the creep in this. Your behavior & the other 9 idiot Dem Senator are part of the death of our right to a free press. You should resign. #FreeAssangeNOW

I agree, but I don't. Legacy media don't do "journalism" any more. They pander to their rich viewers so they can sell more advertising (and why Pharma is so prevalent as they are largely boomers). But for alternative media like Julian, absolutely a travesty. #JulianAssange

Sometimes the same tactics are used in different contexts:
Dr. Bernard did report the abortion (what a thing to even write), but it doesn't matter. The investigation and targeting of her licensure has value to these freaks in and of itself. It's meant to send a message to other doctors. It's a threat.
