There is no reason to have insulin cost $35/month. No one asks to get diabetes, it's not some fun discretionary purchase. The ACA mandates that birth control cost zero. Why not do that for insulin?

Exactly! In countries with universal healthcare there are more regulations concerning food additives, etc.
