Some Republican lawmakers are suggesting surveillance cameras to track license plates in case people are trying to leave the state to attain an abortion. There was a time when I would’ve thought not to worry because something that sick and draconian would never get past SCOTUS.

We have been moving towards a police state for a long time. We are close to 1984 and people pretend we are free. We live in an oligarchy where the aristocrat are paid to keep the peasant dumb, lame, and under control.

Surveillance on #NJTurnpike started yrs back w/justification 2stop #drugs transport. Have U ever heard ONE report on a #drug bust touting that specific #policeactivity? #surveillance also tracks license plates at malls-every plate.

What time? It couldn't have been recently. Judges nominated by both parties have routinely allowed evidence from traffic cameras being used to track people suspected of crimes for decades. And before that it was a lack of cheap cameras not judicial restraint that stopped them.

The Republicans are handing over perfect material for Democrats ads. Watch the Democrats not take advantage.

There are actually tons of these cameras already in use for quite a while. And yes, they could be used for this purpose 💯
