What the WH calls “out of step with the mainstream of the Democratic Party” is what’s “in step” with the Democratic Party principles of Franklin Delano Roosevelt and the New Deal. The corporate Dems are the ones who hijacked the party.
Remarkable statement from the White House, defending its tepid response to abortion by trashing... the left. washingtonpost.com/politics/…

It really seems like they want to lose. Almost like the differences between parties are superficial and the common enemy is progressives.

FDR presided over the worst economy in US history, and people are so brainwashed by the public school system that they actually believe that he had nothing to do with the problems and the fact that they persisted just means they would’ve been worse w/o him.

The Democratic Party should have changed it’s name when it embraced neoliberalism and elected Bill Clinton. It is no longer the party of the New Deal and the Great Society. At this point, is it closer to being the party of Reagan.

It is typical Democrat overreach. If they introduced a bill to just codify Roe and go no further it would likely pass. But instead we got a bill that explicitly allows for things like sex-selective abortion and abortion up until birth.

It's also not out of step with the mainstream of the Party rank and file, only the mainstream of the Party elite who would rather take bribes than improve the lives of Americans.

Thanks for calling them what they are… “corporate Dems”.
