"What are we going to do?" Your list of problems is a good one, but it leaves out 1 very crucial issue: "We have a government that is utterly captured by private interests and systemically non-responsive to the needs and demands of the People." This should influence answers.

Yes, you alluded to it. But in order to formulate effective responses, we need to recognize which avenues for change are actually viable & available to us. Your framing leaves room for viewing "Voting" as a solution; mine doesnt. Mine is by far the more complete & realistic
