The captains of corporatism have made something very clear since the beginning of the pandemic. Even if the *lives* of people are on the line they will tolerate zero impingement on their right to profit. They & their political minions are a tyrannous force at war w/ democracy.

Most people DO NOT agree with them. Poll after poll proves that. This tyranny only exists because we still have the electoral college. The popular will is not represented in our govt today - it is actively thwarted.

Statement was cool but... We are not a democracy. We are a republic. Democracy is mob rule. Our republic (we have elections but that’s it) protects the rights of each individual. It is a very important distinction.
