Given that there are only so many slots in political leadership, octogenarians - with the exception of Bernie Sanders, who has achieved whatever-he-wants-he-should-get status- should step aside.

Black voters would like to disagree most vehemently. Bernie has always come across like a left wing version of 45. He could not motivate young people to actually vote. Weak on gun control & urban issues. Spends more time attacking Dem than the real enemy. Pass on him

Just give term limits a go.

What the hell has Bernie achieved other than sheepdogging people into the Democratic Party?

Also the slots should also step aside

I don't think identity metrics should be in place. I DO think they should adhere to democratic principles & be made to swear to them or be held in contempt of office. Cuellar, Manchin, Synema & more... NOT DEMOCRATS. Remove them from service when they vote against human rights.

Yes 💯. And this isn’t ageist. If there were a spare 75+ leader around fine, but they hold so many of the top positions. There’s no doubt Bidens age affects his poll numbers with young people (which are atrocious). Makes younger people feel even less heard
